We are delighted to announce that the KU Departments of Classics and History have hired Dr. Christina DiFabio to teach Ancient Near Eastern, Greek, and Roman history in 2024-2025.

Dr. DiFabio is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow funded by the Loeb Classical Library Foundation and is Visiting Scholar at the American School of Classical Studies at Athens while she works on her book, Urban Development and Elite Networks in the Hellenistic Eastern Mediterranean. Formerly, she held a position in Public Programs at the Getty Villa Museum (2022–2023). Dr. Fabio received the PhD from the Interdepartmental Program in Classical Art & Archaeology (IPCAA) at the University of Michigan in 2022.  She is also Senior Archaeologist and Small Finds Specialist at the Notion Archaeological Excavations, Türkiye (director: C. Ratté), and will supervise future area excavation and publication starting in 2024.
